This is our resident Anna’s Hummingbird, a beautiful but very aggressive and not a bit afraid of me. I was checking out a new but old Takumar 100/4 macro lens. I also caught a few other macro shots on my walk-about.
Went for a quick walk in the local area. Got these in about an hour. Images shot with a 85/1.9
Found this beautiful flowering tree behind a car wash. I don’t think its indigenous to the area. Heavy aroma, reminds me a little of a Magnolia Tree.
Nice yellows and red, spring time is great in this part of the country.
This Pelagic Cormorant has stunning colors when the sun hits him just right. At other times he looks like a prehistoric dinosaur.
Caught this Mallard taking off.
This little Ruby-Crowned Kinglet was hard to capture, he didnt want to stay still long enough to photograph. I was trying to capture his hidden crown.
I really like the detail in this gull, he got pretty close to me sitting on the beach with my 300mm lens.
These Killdeer are fighting for food or maybe a mate?
