Memorial, 9/11 Dedication, Bremerton, WA
The New York/New Jersey Port Authority and the Families of the 9/11Organization awarded Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue two steel beams, recovered from the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, to be used in a national memorial program. The centerpiece includes two twisted steel beams found at ground zero that have been treated so the public can touch them. Also included in the memorial is a hunk of limestone from the damaged Pentagon and sand found at the crash site in Shanksville, Pa.

The monument alone, If it could speak. It would tell the tales of so many brave souls who perished in the fire in the line of duty, Good on the little man with the fireman suit.
